I, Role Model Leslie: A Positively Negative Role Model

My Tita tells me I am a positive role model to her kids, my cousins. It seems young people look up to me. At least, the ones that are shorter than me. I still prefer to think of myself as a negative role model, in that I am negative about most things.

See, when you're a pessimist, it's a win-win situation for you: youre either always right, or pleasantly surprised. Pessimism is just being realistic, which now that I think about it is a positive trait after all. Wait. Now Im confused.
